We are pleased to announce the next Halo, waste! app version, which our interns worked on as part of the Summer Internship Program, is now available on Android 📱.
This project aimed to create a tool that first of all reminds us to put out the garbage. If we forget to do so, the next opportunity to put out the trash may not come until some time later, which means having to deal with an overflowing garbage can.
Hello, waste! is a mobile application that reminds you of waste collection deadlines. With it, you can easily set reminders for collection dates for different types of waste. What’s more, the app allows you to create schedules and share them with other users via QR codes.
In the implementation of the project, we used .NET MAUI, which allowed us to create a multi-platform application that can be run on different operating systems. This makes our solution flexible and ready for future development (perhaps an iOS version!).
The app is now available for download on Google Play. We invite you to try it out!
