Software engineering is a vivid art and science. Think about it: the modern digital computer was first built in the early 1940′s, so software engineering is only about fifty years old. During this time, our knowledge has changed and evolved. Something that was a novelty ten or five years ago, like Continuous Integration (CI), is now taken in for granted. It is simply used. It is improved, classified and worked upon, too. This is the case with Continuous Delivery (CD) right now. Something that was just a part of CI yesterday is an entire field of knowledge itself nowadays. We used to do CD without thinking about it as a separate methodology. And now that it has been expanded we use it to deliver the best software possible.
